Independence Blue Cross Foundation presents $50,000 grant to Puentes de Salud

Support will help the clinic improve the health of Philadelphia’s rapidly growing Latino community

WHAT:

Lorina Marshall-Blake, president of the Independence Blue Cross Foundation will present a check for $50,000 to Steven Larson, co-founder and executive director of Puentes de Salud clinic to help improve the health of Philadelphia’s Latino community.

Puentes de Salud serves 1,800 patients and is one of 46 clinics the Foundation supports through its Blue Safety net program. Blue Safety Net provides funding to nonprofit community health center clinics that provide access to quality, affordable health care in medically underserved areas.
