IBC Foundation Journal of Change wins Gold Marcom award

Philadelphia, PA – December 10, 2014 – The Journal of Change, an award-winning publication from the Independence Blue Cross (IBC) Foundation chronicling innovation in health care, has won a Gold award in the 2014 MarCom awards, a creative competition for individuals and companies involved in the concept, writing and design of print, visual, audio and web materials and programs.

This is the fourth award for the Journal of Change. Previously it won a Gold Award of Excellence in the 20th annual Communicator Awards; a merit award in the 31st Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards, the oldest and one of the most respected healthcare advertising awards; and a 2014 Platinum Hermes Creative Award.

Journal of Change provides customized health engagement solutions for population health management, patient education, and consumer engagement and features stories by contributing health experts. The award winning Fall 2013 issue, designed by Krames StayWell and published by the IBC Foundation, looked at the unique challenges and opportunities for health care under the Affordable Care Act. It featured articles about Medicaid expansion, the future of community health centers, and the role of technology in health care.

Launched in 2012, the Journal of Change was created as an in-depth exploration of the rapidly shifting health care landscape and a showcase for new ideas and initiatives that will affect the way we live. The publication aims to provide a forum for industry professionals to explore health care trends and create a better understanding of the future of health care.
