Independence Blue Cross Foundation’s Journal of Change recognized for excellence in health care communications
Philadelphia, PA – December 21, 2015
The Journal of Change, an award-winning Independence Blue Cross Foundation produced publication that showcases innovation and insights in health care, has received five awards for its spring 2014 issue. Titled “Leading to the Top,” the issue profiles effective, visionary leaders — headlined by Robert Wood Johnson Foundation President and CEO Risa Lavizzo-Mourey, M.D. — who drive societal change, shape public policy, advance education and transform the future of health care.
The publication, which is designed by StayWell, was recognized with the following awards:
- Gold Award of Excellence in the 21st Annual Communicator Awards, the leading international awards program recognizing big ideas in marketing and communications. Award coordinators received more than 6,000 entries from companies and agencies of varying sizes.
- Gold winner in the 12th annual Healthcare Service Industry Advertising Awards (SIAA), a national competition that honors creativity and communication excellence from service industry providers.
- Gold winner at the 2015 Hermes Creative Awards, an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional materials and programs, and emerging technologies.
- Gold winner at the 2015 Aster Awards, an elite competition dedicated to recognizing the nation’s most talented health care marketing professionals for excellence in advertising.
- Silver award in the 13th annual Healthcare Advertising Awards, the oldest and one of the most respected health care advertising award competitions.

Launched in the fall of 2012, the Journal of Change offers readers an in-depth exploration of the rapidly shifting health care landscape and introduces new ideas and initiatives that have the potential to shape the future of health care delivery.
