In the latest edition of our Journal of Change, leaders share insights on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on community health and nonprofits and their vision of a better safety net for the future.
With the additional community needs created by the coronavirus pandemic, the Foundation accelerated grants totaling $2.4 million to the region’s health centers through its Blue Safety Net program, and dedicated more than $1.4 million to nonprofit sustainability and COVID-19 related causes including food insecurity, community testing, domestic violence.
The Independence Blue Cross Foundation is proud to announce our ongoing collaboration with the Urban Affairs Coalition through the Coalition U Community, a free web-based learning hub exclusively for eligible nonprofits to access resources for professional development, best practices in innovation, and building organizational capacity. The web-based community will be open at no cost to all eligible nonprofits in the southeastern region of Pennsylvania.
